Lorensen Auto Group presents $121K donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation
April 09 2025

(Westbrook, CT) (April 9, 2025) – Lorensen Auto Group is proud to announce a $121K donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The Connecticut-based Auto Group marked the culmination of its unique impact-driven “Good Deal Good Cause” initiative with a check presentation and celebration at its Westbrook Honda location.

Through the “Good Deal Good Cause” initiative, Lorensen Auto Group committed to donate 10% of all net profits to Susan G. Komen, directly supporting breast cancer research, patient care, and awareness. The program launched last October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Presenting the Check Susan G. Komen Team

The celebration event featured a “surprise” check presentation, formally recognizing the substantial impact of the program.  Event attendees included Susan G. Komen representatives, breast cancer survivors, and Lorensen Auto Group leadership and executive teams. Survivors spoke about how the organization has impacted their road to recovery and the ongoing research efforts still needed to end breast cancer.

Westbrook Honda staff helped set the showroom stage with signature pink ribbon balloons, giveaways, and pins for guests. All Belgium Waffles was also on-site serving freshly-made waffles and toppings for employees, customers, and event attendees.

Lorensen’s “Good Deal Good Cause” sales program is designed to go beyond the showroom and make a real difference in the community”, says Sam Elmazi, President of Lorensen Auto Group. “We’re proud to partner with Lorensen Auto Group and their Connecticut dealerships through the ‘Good Deal, Good Cause’ initiative,” said Nicole Marohn, Executive Director, Susan G. Komen. “Their generous support helps advance our mission by funding life-saving research, expanding access to critical support services, and raising awareness about the impact of breast cancer in our community. Partnerships like this are essential to driving meaningful change. Together, we’re taking a bold step toward a future where every breast cancer is curable.”

The “Good Deal Good Cause Drive for the Cure” celebration served as a powerful reminder of what’s possible when business and community unite for a meaningful purpose. With $121K raised and countless lives touched, Lorensen Auto Group’s commitment to driving change transcends the showroom floor. As the event came to a close, it was clear that this is more than just a campaign; it is a movement fueled by compassion, community, and a shared mission to end breast cancer for good.
